It does not surprise me that screenwriters would want things to happen
quickly. That's the nature of their business. I, too, want things to
happen quickly. Is it because I am typical of a Web user or because I
have the attention span of a gnat? Or both? I often browse with images
off because I work with a 28.8 modem at home. At school, I have a T-1,
so it's better. What I am trying to determine is whether any has done
scientific work on the subject of scrolling. I did learn that one major
online content provider found that only 10 per cent of its users
scrolled from the first screen. So the provider resigned its pages to
include NO scrolls. I am looking for this kind of evidence if it
exists. Cheers.
